    Monthly pizza event featuring 100% local wood-fired sourdough pizza from Fireside Farm. They grow and mill the wheat and Casey from Fireside Farm makes all the sauces from scratch with veggies and herbs from the farm. The toppings and cheeses are all locally sourced or grown at the farm. Sip on our latest wines and beer while you wait for your pizza. We have a pre-order system but always save space for walk-ins.

    The apartment, available for short term rental, is in the 7th arrondissement near the Invalides, one long block from the Seine and the Quai d’Orsay.

    The rue Surcouf is a quiet two block street; # 24 lies between the rue de l’Université and the colorful rue St. Dominique. On the fifth floor of a 19th century ‘pierre de taille’ building, it is accessed through a covered walkway and a courtyard with an olive tree.

    The hall of the apartment opens to a living room, bedroom with queen-sized bed, bath and galley kitchen. A sofa /day bed in the living room also has a trundle underneath that can be raised to bed level. This can sleep two.

    The flat is furnished with French provençal furniture and some antiques. The upholstery and curtains are silks and brocades. The floor plan measures

    450 sq. ft. and rents for $950/week.

    This neighborhood is full of places of interest and is a short walk from the Place de la Concorde on the right bank and the Musee d’Orsay and bustling rue Cler open market on the left. The metro stops are Invalides or Tour Maubourg, with an RER stop at Invalides, and an Orly bus at the Air France building across the way. The quarter abounds with shops and excellent restaurants and cafés.

    The apartment is available to friends and friends of friends, with good advance notice.

    Mary Renschler has been repairing lamps for 40 years and makes occasional weekend visits to the shop to diagnose and repair your lamps. Bring your lamp in anytime and we’ll get it to her to diagnose and repair and have it ready for pickup within a couple of weeks.
